Warehouse421 Turns One

Last November marked the first anniversary of the opening of Warehouse421 in Abu Dhabi’s historic Mina Zayed district. The former industrial warehouse has now become a thriving hub for art, culture and creativity in the City of Abu Dhabi, offering a year-round program of exhibitions, events and opportunities for members of the public to explore their creative interests.

In its first year Warehouse421 has hosted 9 exhibitions, 11 workshops, 8 talks, 16 film screenings, and featured the works of more than 150 artists and designers including many from the UAE and the MENA Region.

As we look to the New Year, the 100 Best Arabic Posters exhibition that opened on 15 November 2016 will remain on show at Warehouse421 for a limited time until 9 February 2017.

Warehouse421 is also preparing for the opening of two new exhibitions in early-2017:

  • Lest We Forget: Emirati Adornment, which will run from 4 February to 27 August, and is the second Lest We Forget exhibition to be hosted at Warehouse421.
  • Bayn: The In-Between which will run from 25 February to 25 June.

Warehouse421 will also start a new season of Wednesdays at the Warehouse in February, to be notified about Warehouse421 activities, please subscribe to our mailing list by visiting the website warehouse421.ae
