A New SEAF Cohort Emerges

In November 2016, the SHF was proud to announce the fourth cohort of Fellows selected to participate in the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship (SEAF). The purpose of the 10-month SEAF program is to boost the academic knowledge and professional skills of UAE-based emerging artists while cultivating their ability to analyze, evaluate and discuss their own work in order to prepare them for post-graduate studies and a professional career in the arts.

The final group consists of 16 of the most promising artists in the UAE and includes 8 UAE Nationals and one artist each from Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Kenya, Canada and the UK. 12 of the Fellows are female, four are male, and their ages range from 21 to 32 years.
